My fascination with the creation of objects has drawn me towards focusing on the formal elements of 3D modeling. I am interested in perfecting mesh construction techniques, edge flow, UV layouts, and have introduced Substance software into my toolbox. Substance designer has allowed me to expand into the area of visually programming my own generated materials and textures. While it is out of my comfort zone to present objects alone in a studio setting, away from context, my appreciation for the individual parts has increased due to the lack of narrative.

The subject matter is still wandering through possibilities, but the most recent choice to study eggs has captured my attention. As something so seemingly simple and common, centering it in a studio setting and allowing the egg to almost fill the space transform it into something to admire. I have just begun to explore this further, but the images are enticing me to bring the renders to print on a very large scale.
